DEAN WILLIAMSON, PRESIDENT
In today’s fast-paced deregulated energy marketplace your company deserves an energy consulting and procurement brokerage firm with a long history in the energy industry. Our company President, Dean Williamson, has spent his entire career in the petroleum industry. Dean’s family history roots date back to the original Palmyra Oil Company.
In 1964, Wayne Williamson purchased Pal Oil Company. The business was then sold to his sons David, Larry, and Dean, in 1984. The family business saw impressive growth over the years, and in 1998, was sold to New England Electric. The operation included thirteen convenience stores, eight distribution facilities from Albany to Buffalo, New York, and North to the Canadian border—and one deep-water terminal distributing jet aviation fuel, heating oil and gasoline. In addition, they operated a lubes distribution business, a retail propane distribution operation and an HVAC mechanical contracting business.
Dean is also the President of International Petroleum Traders (IPT), a 15,326,514 gallon deep-water terminal, located in Rensselaer, New York.
Dean has served on a local bank board, and is past President of Ducks Unlimited of New York, as well as the past President of the Oil Heat Institute of Upstate New York.
With over 38-years experience in the energy supply and petroleum industry, Dean understands how energy suppliers operate, and can negotiate the best deals.

JEFFREY SAPIRMAN, EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT
Jeffrey Sapirman has spent over 30 years in the energy industry. Jeffrey’s expertise is creating custom cost-saving strategies, including contract negotiations with suppliers on behalf of our clients.
Jeffrey’s background includes representing companies such as Constellation Energy, Exelon Energy, Amerada Hess, and Gateway Energy. He has worked as an energy consultant working directly with the top fortune 500 energy suppliers
Having a previous background in loan and mortgage management, Jeffrey understands the challenges businesses face today. As a result, his expert knowledge of the energy industry, and supply and demand, makes him an indispensable asset to EGS-Advanced Energy Solutions.
Jeffrey’s main objective is to save commercial energy customers money and time by matching you with suitable suppliers at the best possible rate. He can also help you find the most profitable products and services for your total energy savings solutions.
What sets Jeffrey apart from ordinary energy procurement brokers is that he has managed hundreds of large Commercial, Industrial, municipalities, and National energy accounts. He is a professional with experience in the supply and demand-side productions and solutions.
Jeffrey has managed large energy user accounts in NY, NJ, PA, and OH.
Jeffrey oversees EGS-Advanced Energy Solutions’ operations, a team of energy consultants, and the company’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform.
HOBIE WILLIAMSON, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
We are thrilled to introduce the latest member of our EGS team, Hobie, who holds the pivotal role of Business Development Manager. With a rich educational background, Hobie graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Entrepreneurship from High Point University in 2021, and went on to further his learning with a Master’s degree in Communication and Business Leadership in 2022. His academic journey has allowed him to focus on mastering the art of contract negotiations and honing his persuasive communication skills.
Before joining EGS, Hobie took on a consulting role at Oracle NetSuite, where he worked closely with clients and potential leads to assess their specific enterprise resource planning needs. This role was a stepping stone that deepened his knowledge and honed his skill set, which he now brings to our team.
Hobie joined EGS in the second quarter of 2023 and is eager to apply his expertise in serving our clients. With his understanding of energy solutions, he is keen to meet your specific energy needs and is ready to bring forward-thinking solutions to your business. We are excited to have him on board and we believe his contributions will greatly benefit our clients and our company as a whole.
JUSTIN PENCE, OPERATIONS COORDINATOR
At the helm of our Operations team, you’ll find Justin Pence, our steadfast leader who works tirelessly to ensure the smooth running of our day-to-day operations. Justin diligently collaborates with our Data Entry team to guarantee the absolute accuracy and completeness of client information – a process that starts from initial account data collection and extends all the way to the final execution and booking of agreements.
Integral to his role, Justin maintains a close rapport with our suppliers, vendors, and clients, ensuring that projects are always on track and any arising issues are swiftly resolved. His skills are invaluable to our Procurement team, where he leverages his expertise to generate thorough pricing comparisons and analyses from our suppliers, making certain that all bids are evaluated on an equal footing.
Armed with a robust background in Customer Service, Justin frequently contributes to special projects, stepping in when clients need assistance with their utility companies. He relishes these opportunities to exceed expectations and provide a caliber of service that distinguishes EGS Advanced Energy Solutions from other industry competitors. His unwavering commitment and propensity to go the extra mile embodies the spirit of our company.
JOHN COYNE, DIRECTOR OF FORENSIC AUDITING
We are delighted to introduce John Coyne as the spearhead of our Forensic Auditing team. We firmly believe that his leadership will enhance our audit scope and quality. Mr. Coyne is a veteran in the field of telecommunications and utility auditing, with a remarkable 38-year track record. His journey includes being a lead auditor for two major New York State auditing firms, namely Phone Review and Prime Auditors.
From 1983 to 2011, Mr. Coyne was integral to Phone Review. In 2011, following the company’s acquisition and renaming to Prime Auditors, he continued in his vital role as the lead auditor. Despite the change of ownership, much of the team remained consistent, and Mr. Coyne was a constant pillar throughout these transitions. Prime Auditors eventually closed in December of 2020 with the owners’ decision to retire.
Throughout his tenure at both companies, John audited utility and telecommunications billing for over 100 municipal clients across New York State. This includes a range of towns, cities, and villages, as well as numerous counties such as Suffolk, Dutchess, Albany, Franklin, Warren, Fulton, Essex, Otsego, Cattaraugus, Tioga, Cayuga, Putnam, and Columbia.
John also brings significant experience in successful claim submissions. He possesses a deep understanding of the escalation process that can expedite resolution. In cases where escalation with utility companies doesn’t yield the desired results, we are fully equipped to complete the credit process via New York State DPS intermediation. Mr. Coyne’s involvement in numerous NYS DPS complaints ensures he is well-versed in all submission avenues to guarantee a successful outcome. We are proud to have such a seasoned professional lead our Forensic Auditing team.
JOHN HARRIS, DIRECTOR OF TAX CREDITS
Meet John Harris, Experian’s esteemed Director of Tax Credits, specifically overseeing the Employee Retention Credit division.
Before joining Experian, John amassed over two decades of experience in managerial roles at firms dedicated to assisting businesses in reducing costs across a wide spectrum of tax areas. His areas of specialization include State Unemployment Tax, Sales and Use Tax, Property Tax, Tax Credits, and Employee Verifications.
In his current role, John has successfully guided over 400 companies—both for-profit and non-profit organizations—through the process of qualifying for the Employee Retention Credit, in accordance with IRS guidelines. His expertise and commitment have made him a highly valued member of our team at Experian.
